November's Moon!


The November Moon goes by many names. The Farmer's Almanac Website , lists quite a few of the possible origins of this month's moon many cognomens.

Full Beaver Moon: November 2nd 2009. This was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Another interpretation suggests that the name Full Beaver Moon comes from the fact that the beavers are now actively preparing for winter. It is sometimes also referred to as the Frosty Moon.

For October 2009:
The full moon will be on the 2nd at 7:14P EST
The last quarter will be on the 9 th at 3:56P EST
The new moon will be on the 16 th at 7:14P EST
The first quarter will be on the 24 th at 9:39P EST
